![]() So Rosstech doesn't kill my device again. My Idea, what I want to try soon is assembled here 93LC76 or 93LC86 and try it, because this eeprom has PE (program enable) pin. So this eeprom hold VID/PID, some serial number (isn't same as in inside of Atmel-EEPROM, settings for USB, Identification text and others stuff. What Rosstech do, is scrap sometimes this FTDI-EEPROM (If identify clone is connected), so cable next time isn't recognize as "Ross-tech HEX USB" cable but as Serial USB Converter (in better case) or worst case you need special VID/PID driver to install driver for this 'device' and than you can fix with sometool from the internet (or my tool from package) One is related to the FTDI (hold configuration of USB) and second is in Atmel (hold serial key) Is it related to FTDI?yes, in the cable are two eeprom. I never understood what was the point of that eeprom. ![]() Are you talking about that 8 pin SOIC 93C56 eeprom?ĭo you have the original dumps for that eeprom?
